Beginning by showing beings whose existence may belong as much to mineral as to vegetable life; “kingdoms” that are not watertight, but remind us that these, along with their hierarchy, are an Aristotelian determination that guides us as rational beings, but does not constitute a reality as a whole, which is always more complex and indefinable.
Catarina Marto was born in 1977, and has a degree in Fine Arts, a Masters in Museology and is following a doctorate in Artistic Studies – Art and Mediations.
She has carried out projects as an artist and curator, has written visual arts texts (Gate Galleries, “Ghost book” edition RE.AL, Embankment, Midas, Cultural Technologies and Media Art, Collaborative Laboratory…, etc.).
Raquel Pedro was born in 1978, and has a degree in Fine Arts – Painting and a Postgraduate Degree in Cognitive Science. She collaborated with the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum and the Educational Service of Culturgest. Her artistic curriculum includes individual exhibitions, group exhibitions and illustrations.
